Our minds are constantly bombarded with thoughts, some of which inspire goodness and others that lead us astray. Islam provides profound guidance on distinguishing between beneficial and harmful thoughts, helping us maintain mental clarity and spiritual purity. Our class, “Identifying Thoughts of Good & Evil”, is designed to help participants recognise and manage their thoughts in alignment with Islamic principles.
Led by Ustaz Harith, this class explores the nature of thoughts, their sources, and their impacts on our behaviour and spirituality. Through engaging lectures, reflective discussions, and practical exercises, participants will learn how to cultivate positive thoughts, avoid harmful ones, and enhance their mental and spiritual well-being.

In Islam, good and evil thoughts are understood through the concepts of the heart (qalb) and the whispers of Satan (waswas). Good thoughts are those that align with Islamic teachings, encourage virtuous actions, and bring a person closer to Allah. Evil thoughts, on the other hand, go against religious guidance, promote sinful behavior, and distance a person from Allah. However, there are times when a person experiences certain thoughts or intentions without knowing whether they are good or bad. In such moments, it can be difficult to distinguish between what is right and what is wrong.
